Pep Talks

"Don't worry you'll get 'em next time"....or..."Maybe it wasn't meant to be"...or my favorite..."When one door closes another one opens up".  We've all sat and listened as a loved one tries to make us feel better when we're going through a tough time or we've received some bad news.  Yes, hearing encouraging words and support sometimes makes us feel better and allows us to see the brighter side of things.  BUT, to me, words are just words, and the way you can recover from a bad break is by simply, "doing". Doing exactly what you were doing before you hit a roadblock, except this time with a little twist because now you're smarter and stronger for getting through that obstacle.  Dusting yourself off and taking the next step, and then another step after that.  Hearing words of encouragement and then doing nothing with it is like letting yourself down and the one's that believe in you.

Use the key that you already possess inside of you.  When you receive some bad news or what you think is a setback, the key is to listen to your heart.  It knows what to do and how you're going to do it.  All you have to do is take the first step...
