Light's Out America: Earth Hour 2010

So what will you be doing tomorrow, 3/27 @ 8:30pm?  Going out partying?  Movies?  Hot Date???  Well, how about you try something different.  Tomorrow at 8:30 will be Earth Hour; a time to turn off all your lights at home for one hour in recognition of global climate change and to conserve energy.  The initiative was started three years ago in Australia and since then organizations, businesses, and iconic structures such as the Eiffel Tower and the Empire State Building have joined the effort.

So while I'm not typically known for promoting "go green" campaigns, Earth Hour seems like something we can all take part in and actually bring about change for the benefit of the environment.  Besides, just think, wouldn't it be fun to have a night at home surrounded by candle lights or sit by the fireplace and play board games with your kids or drink wine with friends?!!  You in...?  I know I am!

For those of you who take part this weekend, shoot me a comment and share what you did for Earth Hour 2010!
