I just wanted to take a moment to explain this little tag line you may have seen gracing my blog, website, and at the end of every post. When I say, "See Beauty...", what do I really mean by that? These words have been with me since day one when I first started my photography journey a few years ago. “See Beauty…”encompasses everything my photography stands for and represents me personally. The very words itself can be so ambiguous; the meaning can be left to interpretation based on whatever the heart sees and feels. Perfect! That is the very essence of Ariane Hunter Photography.
What “See Beauty…” means to me is twofold. Firstly, the photographer in me connected with these two words because of its visual nature. I capture what my heart sees with my camera in a way that brings out its unique beauty. We all see things differently and with a unique perspective. Lucky for me, I get to portray what my eyes see through my photography. The awesomeness of being a photographer is being able to bring out the life and energy from something ordinary thus revealing it’s beauty.
The second meaning of "See Beauty..."comes from the beauty that is inherently unique in every single thing that exists around us. The rocking chair, a blade of grass, a piece of artwork, the way a father looks at his daughter before he gives her away at her wedding. Seeing the beauty that takes place in a moments notice. Life allows us to see things in a different light every time we look at it. Some things that were once "ugly" can be changed in the blink of an eye. Seeing beauty is real; seeing beauty is change and perspective. Seeing beauty will always be unique to the viewer. In “See Beauty…”, the three dots represent beauty that is undefined and left to your interpretation. It’s not what you see, but how you see it.
I want you to see beauty. Not from anyone else, but through your own eyes, from within, and through the world and people around you.
