Freedom to Control

Hey guys!! Welcome to another round of one of my blog posts! So this time, I was thinking I want to share my thoughts on one of the appeals of being a photographer.  Ok, some of you who may be turned off from that last sentence, but let me assure you that this post can be applied to anyone, no matter what your passion or creative mode of expression happens to be.  So as the title states, Freedom to Control, think about that for a  I think it's human nature to not want to feel controlled by anyone or anything, no matter what.  We'd all like to  be free to express ourselves, our thoughts, and our actions.  Right?  You're a writer...the story line is yours from A to Z.  The content is as mysterious or informative as you want it to be, no holds barred.  You're an actor/actress...the role is yours, the words flow freely from you mouth, you're movements gestures and attitude bring your character to life.  You're a photographer...creative images flow from your mind into real life, the unseen becomes seen, beauty is now yours to portray any way you want.   No matter what the circumstance, the output is whatever you want it to be; straight from your imagination for the world to see.  I think one of the main elements that excites artists alike is the work they do as their own creation.  Something that was just your mere thought can be visible to the world.  It can be a very liberating thing; not being told what to do or criticized for expressing what you think is beautiful, unique, or interesting.  It awakens the spirit  and demonstrates individuality.  And that's what we all want isn't it? To be individuals and unique in our own right. Tammie and Rashmi, two different individuals, both holding beauty all their own.  I casually photographed them in the way I imagined; letting my interpretation of their uniqueness come through my images.
