“Hi! We’re in the area having coffee. Let me know when you’re here and we’ll come over :)”. This was the text I received around 3:20 on a Sunday afternoon in the Meatpacking District where I would soon meet Fatima & Rizwan for the first time. We had spoken on the phone prior to their engagement shoot and I could tell by her energy and excitement on the phone, this was going to be a fun day. Minutes after receiving that text, I was greeted by this beautiful couple wearing big smiles, ready to begin their engagement shoot.
We walked the cobbled stoned streets of 9th Avenue becoming more and more inspired by the colorful walls and the artistic culture in this urban-chic corner of NYC.
The Meatpacking District held sentimental memories for Fatima & Rizwan; it’s where they had their first date! It’s such a wonderful feeling when you can reconnect to sweet memories through your surroundings.
During the shoot Fatima & Rizwan flowed perfectly and exuded such fantastic chemistry for each other. They are such individuals but I can tell they share something very special when they are together. It was such a pleasure for me to observe and capture that sentiment during their shoot.
Cheers to their upcoming wedding this September and to their colorful romance!
